Oracle and Me
Hi, I’m Francisco Rivas. I have worked with Oracle databases throughout my professional career, learning from great companies and colleagues. Today I am an Oracle employee and I enjoy sharing knowledge in my free time.
I am appealed by the idea of making a somewhat more human blog, where we don’t focus so much on the commands but more on each feature functionality and the key use cases for it. Not so much on the “what” or the “how”, but on the “why”. I aim to approach my readers in the same way I would like to be addressed: as an intelligent human being who needs to see things with a broad perspective. Having that contextualized view of the technology makes it easier to get down to the details of the actual procedure – for which, by the way, you have great online reference sites that do this task brilliantly. But don’t worry; I will also have to include from time to time some SQL commands, otherwise It would be a little more difficult to differentiate oracleandme.com from a cooking recipes web 🙂
You are reading my personal blog, where I express my own ideas, and therefore I do not represent Oracle Corporation in any way.
Enjoy!
